Find out moreNot sure which service you need?
Plenty of people get in touch describing a problem rather than a service — lights flickering, a breaker that keeps tripping, a letting agent asking for a certificate nobody can name. That is completely fine. Tell us what is happening and we will work out what is actually required.
If you are a landlord, the document you are usually being asked for is an Electrical Installation Condition Report. If your fuse board has old-style rewireable fuses, you are looking at a consumer unit upgrade. If you run a holiday let, you most likely need an EICR and PAT testing together.
How we price work
We do not publish fixed prices, and there is a reason for that beyond commercial caution. The honest answer to "how much is a rewire" depends on the size of the property, its age, whether it is occupied, how accessible the cable routes are and what state the existing installation is in. A headline figure that changes once walls are open helps nobody, and it tends to be the thing customers complain about most when dealing with larger firms.
Instead we visit, assess the job properly, and give you a written quote. That is the figure you pay. If something genuinely unforeseen appears once work starts — and in older property it occasionally does — we stop, explain it, and agree any change with you before continuing.
Certification and compliance
Electrical work in the UK is governed by BS 7671, the current wiring regulations, and by Part P of the Building Regulations for domestic work. In practice that means certain jobs must be notified to building control and certified. We handle that registration as part of the job, and you receive the certificate on completion.
That paperwork matters more than people expect. You will be asked for it when you sell the property, when you let it, and often by your insurer after any incident. Work carried out without certification can be expensive to regularise later, and it is a common reason for a house sale to stall at the survey stage.
Who we work for
Our customers fall into four broad groups: homeowners wanting work done on their own property, landlords and letting agents with compliance obligations across one property or a portfolio, small businesses and holiday let operators, and main contractors and developers who need an electrical contractor as part of a wider site team. The standard of certification is identical across all four.
